About Diane
Diane's education and training in Anthetic Therapy techniques provide for not just talk-and-listen therapy — but specific skills she can teach you to get immediate relief from presenting issues. Diane starts with you: what you are personally experiencing and what you want for yourself. She is then able to guide you, in this phenomenological approach, toward profound healing, inner freedom, and increased options for your life.
Diane's life experiences — full of love and loss — have equipped her with a contagious compassion and depth of empathy she extends to every client she sees.
Previous work experience includes 10 years in business administration and 12 years as a pre-school teacher. Her interest in early childhood development is further supported by a degree in Early Childhood Education. Along with the operation of an Art & Entertainment business in New Orleans for 15 years, Diane's proudest moments are the years she spent parenting her now-grown twin sons.
Post-graduate studies in Counselor Education led to her work in a variety of mental health settings: Art Therapy supporting adults with developmental disabilities, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy with Early Childhood Support Services, Elementary School Counseling in Lafayette Parish, University Academic Counseling at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and Crisis Counseling with the Florida Panhandle 211 System.
Incorporating elements of Reminiscence Therapy and a BRUSH with Nature are some of the ways Diane seeks to ignite the natural, child-like wisdom within her clients. "I feel like I have gone full circle," Diane reflects. She is able to bring her studies of child development, psychology, and years of caregiving experience into her work. This — coupled with Anthetics and a love for art and nature — provides adult clients of all ages with a unique developmental journey to health and healing.
